BEFORE AND AFTER
Mrs A attended my clinic for a new complete complete set of dentures. Her old dentures had worn which resulted in a decrease in her Occlusal Vertical Dimension (OVD). Her upper denture did not offer adequate upper lip support and resulted her lips appearing slightly sunken in. Both upper and lower dentures lacked retention and were very unstable in the mouth.
After her initial consultation we determined what aesthetic and functional changes we needed to make to her new denture to give the best possible outcome for her. An increase of 2mm to her OVD, improve upper lip support, improved fit and for her new dentures to look as natural as possible. She provided me with a picture of herself in her 20’s when she had her natural teeth to aid in my tooth selection.
She was very pleased with her new dentures.
